    ComplyChain Investigative Matrix Tool: User Instructions


    1. Adding Nodes

    1. Fill in node details:
      • Label: Name (e.g., “John Doe”)
      • ID: Unique identifier (e.g., “A001”)
      • Type: Select category (Person, Wallet, etc.)
      • Tag: Add keywords (e.g., “Suspect”, “Victim”)
      • Color: Choose a node color (default: gray)
      • Notes: Add descriptions or evidence
      • Date: Set relevant date (e.g., incident date)
    2. Click “Add Node” to create.

    2. Creating Connections

    1. Source/Target IDs: Enter the IDs of the nodes to link.
    2. Relationship: Select a label (e.g., “Witnessed”) or type a custom one.
    3. Click “Add Connection” to create a relationship arrow.

    3. Uploading Node Images

    1. Right-click a node to open its info box.
    2. Click “Upload Image” and select an image file.
    3. Click “Save Changes” to replace the node’s color with the image.

    4. Filtering by Timeline

    1. Select a start and end date.
    2. Click “Apply Filter” to show only nodes within that period.
    3. Click “Clear” to reset the view.

    5. Saving & Loading

    • Save: Click “Save Graph (This Device)” to store progress locally.
    • Load: Click “Load Graph” to restore your last saved graph.

    6. Importing/Exporting Data

    • CSV Import: Use the “Choose File” button to upload spreadsheet data.
    • Export:
      • PDF Report: Click “Export PDF Report”.
      • Graph Image: Click “Export Graph Image”.

    7. Editing Nodes

    1. Right-click any node to open its details.
    2. Update notes, tags, dates, colors, or images.
    3. Click “Save Changes”.

    8. Basic Navigation

    • Zoom/Pan: Scroll or drag the graph background.
    • Center View: Click “Center Graph”.
    • Reorganize: Click “Organize Graph” to auto-arrange nodes.
    • Fullscreen: Click “Toggle Fullscreen”.

    Troubleshooting Tips

    ⚠️ Graph not showing?

    • Click “Organize Graph” to refresh the layout.
    • Ensure nodes have unique IDs.
    • Check CSV formatting if importing data.
